All food is carefully formulated and controlled by professional veterinarians and nutritional formulators , hoping to "let fur babies eat better and grow older together with us." 

DOGCATSTAR has 4 factories in Taiwan, producing pet food using high-quality ingredients that quality are equivalent to human food. This is a significant investment to ensure high-quality and safe pet food. Additionally, some of the investments receive government support due to rigorous quality inspections and the product's high consumer benefits. The company has obtained several certifications, such as ISO 14001:2015 and SGS Inspection

The Challenge!   

  • Complex data - Company does not have an official data storage system and uses Excel for operations. This leads to data inconsistencies and a lot of errors. 

  • Issue with Inventory Expiry Control - Because Excel is used, employees sometimes record product expiration dates incorrectly and duplicate entries, causing confusion. This leads to problems with inventory control quite frequently. 

  • Time-consuming for Cost Calculations - Manual work requires employees to spend time calculating costs because they have to search for and cross-check documents, as well as manually perform various calculations each month. This results in employees losing time and working overtime on a regular basis. 

  • No Raw Material Planning System - This results is effect with quality of production for each recipe. The company produces multiple pet food recipes, each requiring a variety of raw materials. No systematic approach to work leads to inaccuracies in raw material preparation, which may be due to employees failing to verify the accuracy of both the type and quantity of raw materials, among other factors. 

  • Various Types of Packaging - Due to the multiple packaging types, the quantity of each type of packaging is not consistent. Employees have to verify the quantity and recipe accuracy according to the labels on the packaging, leading to occasional errors due to employees not thoroughly checking. 

  • Quality Control of Suppliers - The company deals with a large number of raw materials and uses multiple suppliers for sourcing. This necessitates a detailed quality check of supplier information, including quantity, price, and other details for each shipment.

  1. Argo ERP system serves as the central data management hub. Employees in different departments can communicate with each other by using the system. One of the most significant ways the system assists employees is by consolidating all the information into one place, no time-consuming searches and making cost allocation easy. 

  1. Install QR Code modules to generate Lot#, date codes, and other related information for managing and controlling the shelf life of raw materials in the inventory. Each QR Code will retrieve data from Argo ERP system, making it easier and faster to track various products or raw materials.   

  1. Argo ERP system has notification based on user-defined settings, such as alerting for incorrect raw material, discrepancies in the quantity of pet food placed in the packaging and so on.   

  1. Argo ERP system can create a "Product Resume" to track the production history, starting from purchase orders, production orders, price quotations, as well as supplier raw material information and other data related to product manufacturing. DOGCATSTAR Company can use this data to quickly apply for ISO14001:2015 and SGS inspection certifications.   

  1. Employees can prepare raw materials according to the BOM (Bill of Materials) formula by checking and monitoring the Argo ERP system. If the preparation is incorrect, the system will immediately alert for material replacement. The supervisors can also oversee every step of the employees' work through the Argo ERP system. 

  1. Employees inspect production orders to prepare raw materials and send them to the production department in compliance with the correct packaging. They can also ensure product delivery according to the plan. 

  1. The company can thoroughly check the status and history of suppliers by recording their information in the Argo ERP system.
