The Challenge! 

Ho Song Enterprise has total 50 CNC machines in the production process, and there are various product lines. This necessitates to install ciMES system to collect production process data and link various processes as follows: 

• All 50 CNC machines must be able to connect and share data. 

• Production process data must be connected with current ERP system. 

• System can show how the CNC machine should operate, configure, and record cutting speed information. 

• Verify the correctness of the blades used in each CNC machine, such as the grip, center, and tip. 

• The QC process must be able to connect with work orders. 

• Create production process step by step, also known as a Product Resume. 

After using ciMES    

After consulting with ARES, Ho Song Enterprise has successfully implemented the following modules to enhance the efficiency of its production processes as below.

After ARES has successfully implemented and provided training to all staff, the ciMES system has enabled the company to increase efficiency in production as follows: 

• Real-time WIP tracking through ciMES data integration across the entire production process. 

• The production process can do electronic labeling and E-SOP, and various settings can be configured, such as Part no., cutting speed, or CNC machine operation settings. 

• Cost calculations and material purchase quantity forecasts are more accurate due to the comprehensive integration of the ciMES system and the existing ERP system. 

• Customer service has significantly improved, and post-sales services can be performed promptly. 

• Tooling is integrated with product manufacturing data, such as determining which CNC machine uses a ¾-inch blade. 

• Verification of blade compatibility, CNC machines, and production orders through the ciMES system, including grip, center, and tip, is done accurately. 

• QC processes seamlessly connect and verify with work orders. 

• Traceability of the production process is possible at every step through the Product Resume in the ciMES  system. 

ciMES system enhances the efficiency of the factory metal parts manufacturing process by connecting data between the ERP system and CNC machines. After that company can produce a large quantity of products quickly and maintain quality standards. Additionally, real-time data checking is possible, making the system a valuable tool for the company to work in a more systematic and efficient.
