The Challenge!    

A-PRO TECH CO., LTD. utilizes high-quality materials in the production of bicycle frames and use many semi-finished goods (SFG) products from reputable suppliers with a commitment to quality to meet the demands of high-level customers. The issues and requirements before implementing the system are as follows: 

  1. No data storage and processing system, mostly manual, leading to various inaccuracies and an inability to meet the demands of high-level customers.  

  1. Can not verify product details of the production process that customers want to change.  

  1. Data for each production station needs to be linked.  

  1. Checking SOPs by paper methods, so results in inconsistent data.  

  1. Need Online SPC for real-time alerts to engineers.  

  1. Calculation of KPIs for employee (assembly) performance is required for monitoring and analyzing assembly time at each production station.  

  1. Needs to be monitored environmental data, such as production temperature/humidity

After using ciMES     

  • Manual to Automation - Transform production process from paper to system and significantly minimizes errors resulting from manual work. 

  • ciMES System, the central for production data - Connecting information from every station. Collect data and allows employees to view various information through the system based on their permissions. 

  • Accurate Product Warranty System - When customers claim warranties or product returns, the company can trace back the entire production history step by step. Also meticulously check Lot# Serial# details to address and respond to customer inquiries accurately. 

  • E-SOP (Electronic Standard Operating Procedures) - Configuring production steps in the ciMES system to create E-SOP ensures the accuracy of real-time material checks for each station. 

  • Set Employee KPIs - Plan employees' tasks and schedule equipment maintenance through the ciMES system to reduce the time spent on equipment checks. 

  • Online SPC (Statistical Process Control) - Establish QC standards following predefined procedures, enabling the creation of online SPC. This helps in reducing the rate of non-conforming products (NG), labor costs, emergency cases, and NG losses significantly. 

  • Real-time Production Efficiency Monitoring for Employees - Enables accurate checking and analysis of assembly time at each station, providing real-time insights into production efficiency. 

Production order include with important information such as the production order number, employee name, machine number, and the materials and components required for production and so on. The ciMES system records machine hours, working hours, produced components, and other relevant production data. The company can monitor the production process starting from pre-production (materials), adherence to SOP, temperature values during the process, and other data according to the company's set as standards. If any parameter exceeds the standard values, production must be immediately halted, and this can be seen dashboard via the application or on a computer. Real-time reports can also be viewed through the system.

Scanning employees' barcodes upon entry and exit at each station provides real-time information on their work duration and production data. Supervisors can monitor and view this information through screens in the office. The system connects data from all machines and stores it via the ciMES system. If any issues arise, they can be identified and addressed immediately.
