Gogoro implemented ARES MES for electric scooter production, towards smart manufacturing!

     Gogoro is lead in electric scooters industry founded in 2011, the company is dedicated to the design, manufacture, sale and service of innovative technology products as well as providing a smart solution for green life. Electric scooter users can change the battery themselves; this makes the company a market leader in both Taiwan and Europe. Gogoro also recognized as Taiwan's "UNICORN" by the National Council for Development and Development Fund.

Challenges

In order to meet the increasing production line “Gogoro's new smart battery”, MES is necessary to build a fully automated manufacturing, which requires a system with the following functions:

• MES system must be able to link the data to the hardware used in production.
• Build a Dash Board to get an overview of the workflow and production.
• The system must support the expansion of work processes in the future.
• Accurate data import-export of work processes.
• Manage machine maintenance and product warranty.

     MES is the key to the success of Gogoro's new smart battery, which can bundle hardware data and create Dash Board to fit the concepts and elements of Industry 4.0 also can continue on this platform in the future.

     The data flow highly accurate and perfectly meets the demands of manufacturing in a smart factory, increasing production efficiency by 50% as every data transmitted to the logistics system is 100% accurate, also ARES professional team always give advice and cooperate immediately.
