The Challenge!

Unable to trackback production data

  • Employees spent a lot time to record production details because the information is manually recorded through Excel and handwritten, leading to inaccuracies and human errors.

  • Unable to issue official documentation to meet standards and match with global product level.

Problems with ingredient control

  • Unable to control the proportions and quantities of ingredients consistently every time.

  • Employees do not follow the cosmetic formula's step-by-step process.

To increase efficiency in product quality inspection and control

  • Implement control of ingredient input sequence at the same station

  • Add a 'Recheck Ingredients' button at each station as needed

  • Introduce a policy for initial product inspections

  • Enhance the recording and documentation of abnormalities and production defects

Argo MES Module

After using Argo MES

ArgoMES Structure for THAI HO GROUP

Create a Product Resume to enhance manufacturing reliability

  • Connect manufacturing data with barcodes for recording in the Argo MES system

  • Track Work Orders (WO) and record real-time progress

  • Create Product Resume to show all manufacturing process details and use it as document to verify manufacturing processes according to standards

Reduce human error

  • The Argo MES system will record the employee's ID, work orders, barcodes, and compare BOM in real-time. Employees must scan the barcode before performing tasks at each production station. If the components do not match the specified BOM, the system will immediately alert to ensure accuracy. Additionally, if employees work incorrectly according to the Product Resume steps, the system will indicate the error.

  • The Argo MES system connects to an electronic weight scale system to control and record the quantity of raw material mixing according to the specified standards. If there is an excess or shortage, the system will notify immediately.

  • Set up alert system, record losses or abnormalities, and assess employee performance based on actual work.

Defect Inspection and Analysis Policy

  • Specify the component sequence by linking machine data with the Work Order (WO) to verify the sequence at each station.

  • Add a "Recheck Components" button at each station to confirm accuracy.

  • Implement a first-piece inspection for the first item in the production lot. If it is deemed Non-Conforming (NG), production must immediately stop.

  • Inspections the first piece, in-process inspections, and final inspections are all integrated with the Work Order (WO) through barcode scanning and mobile devices to export inspection data to the Argo MES system.

  • Real-time statistical analysis of defective products significantly contributes to process improvement.

  • In case of any issues, the system will provide immediate alerts.

Others

  • The Argo MES system is connected to machinery and SCADA to record all production data, including the machine operation data. This allows for more precise cost analysis, such as determining how many hours a particular machine operates and calculating the electricity costs, among other things.

  • Thai Ho Group has added customization for the Visual Management Platform to align with the company's requirements and operational processes. This customization enables company management and supervisors to have better control over production and monitor employee activities in real-time.
